It would be easy to say Seaford Windscreens started in the early months of 2023 when the owner of Seaford Crash, Stephen Sferruzzi, decided to hire his first employee that was dedicated to fitting autoglass within his crash repair business.
The reality is, since 1966 Seaford Crash has always installed glass at their Seaford road location but with an increase in demand and greater challenges involved with glass fitment the idea of Seaford Windscreens was born.
TED
However, the real story of Seaford Windscreens began back in 1966 when Stephen's Dad, Ted Sferruzzi, started his own Crash repair business on Seaford road, Old Noarlunga, South of Adelaide. It's a long way from his birth place Benevento, Italy. Working from his back yard and taking great pride in serving his customers, hard working Ted soon discovered his customer base growing, to the point where he saw the opportunity and need to acquire adjacent properties.
He now had the room to have independent panel and paint shops.
His philosophy “you are only as good as your last job” still holds true to this day and is proven by Seaford Crash's increased customer base.

STEVE
As time went by, Ted's own family grew. His son Stephen, showed all the attributes Ted had loved to see in workers in general. Hard working, ambitious and keen to learn, Stephen joined the growing list of employees as an apprentice who turned into a fully qualified spray painter. Then set about learning all aspects of Seaford Crash Repairs. With Stephen on board, Seaford Crash was finally a fully fledged family run business to be proud of.

DISASTER STRIKES
It was in 2016 when disaster struck. A fire ripped through the paint shop and all but destroyed the building. By far the biggest challenge the Sferruzzi family had faced in business. They had customers to serve and a business to run somehow? Rather than sit and complain, they worked out of the panel shop which wasn't affected and rented a property at Christies Beach.
It was a very hard time running the business out of 2 locations but through sheer determination they made it work.
IF IT TAKES PRESSURE TO BUILD DIAMONDS THEN
THE SFERRUZZI FAMILY IS LIVING PROOF
They not only made it work but they built a brand new, upgraded spray painting department and also closed down the Christies Beach branch which enabled them to centralise their business again.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS
With the business stabilised, the years moving on, it was now time for Stephen to start learning the business side of Seaford Crash. Stephen set about learning how to make the business even more efficient while still giving the same customer service that customers have grown to love. The Sferruzzi family have literally raised Seaford Crash out of the fire and have built a powerhouse business which is always looking for ways to improve their service to the southern community.
Seaford Crash is now, literally, the largest crash repairer in the southern region.
But not resting on his laurels, Stephen saw a missing piece to the Seaford Crash puzzle and what the community needs. A local Windscreen replacement service.
